Java UI & Middleware

Key Bridge developed an OCAP-compatible cable set top.

For this project we developed a hardware/software platform based upon a MSI custom main board, a custom build of Debian Linux, and our own Java-based application stack. A generic user interface was also developed.

The software was released open source as MediaCenter-HD in 2007.

A Networked Set Top Box Media Center

A modular software foundation was designed to be secure and easily extensible by the service provider, allowing for rapid deployment of new enhanced services as back-office infrastructure, resource and technologies became available.
