inSight for DOCSIS

Key Bridge developed a cable modem technology for a US Cable operator to manage and oversee the operational status of over 20 million devices.

inSight for DOCSIS generates instantaneous or time-sequence reports for tracked DOCSIS-specific MIB values returned from multiple brands of Cablelabs-certified cable modem.

While there are many SNMP trap managers, none are built with a comprehensive understanding of DOCSIS and cable RF signal requirements.

Cable Modem RF Insight & Management

Reports can be built on demand for troubleshooting or regularly scheduled and automatically distributed via email or posted to your internal web portal.

Any custom report can be generated based upon user requirements. Standard report suite includes graphical histories and summaries for:

With near real-time monitoring of up to 24 metrics per device, inSight gives new visibility into customer troubles and isolates information needed to fix them.

An Active Alarm system automatically notifies responsible contacts of outages, threshold violations, single device issues or holistic, summary behavior.

inSight can detect outages or service degradations proactively with built-in threshold alarms. Outage and service degradation alarms to a technicians email, pager and cell phone via SMS. Thresholds and alarms can be set for one device or against summary measurements of up to 50,000 devices. Alarm messages can be configured with as much information as necessary including:

Group trouble last measured operating parameters
Group trouble number of devices / customers affected
Individual trouble device MAC and IP address
Individual trouble affected customer account and address
